WELCOME TO CRESTON AVENUE RESIDENCE
As the need for affordable housing and supportive services grows, VOA-Greater New York continues to respond by providing safe, supportive environments for some of our city’s most at-risk residents.
Creston Avenue Residence provides permanent supportive housing as well as affordable housing to chronically homeless families and chronically homeless single adults who suffer from serious and persistent mental illness or who are diagnosed as mentally ill and chemically addicted (MICA). It also provides transitional housing to homeless veterans who qualify for HUD-VASH vouchers. Veterans receive supportive case management services, coordination of medical services, and vocational counseling and are placed into permanent housing after two years. In 2017, it was awarded “Residence of the Year” by the Supportive Housing Network of New York.
