Margaret Ratcliff leads national strategies that harness the collective strengths of VOA’s national organization and local affiliates to create greater impact in communities across the country.
She works with affiliate CEOs, boards, and national leadership to strengthen organizational capacity, advance innovation, foster shared learning, and support resilient organizations that improve lives and strengthen communities. Her work includes developing strategic partnerships, supporting the growth of innovative service models, and helping affiliates translate successful local initiatives into scalable solutions that benefit communities nationwide.
Ratcliff champions collaboration across VOA’s nationwide network, encouraging the exchange of ideas, experience, and proven practices that help affiliates learn from one another and achieve more together. She currently supports initiatives including Family-Focused Recovery, recuperative care, healthy aging, and other strategies that expand opportunity and improve community well-being.
Before joining the national organization, Ratcliff served as President & CEO of VOA North Louisiana and as Executive Director of the Greater New Orleans Area Agency on Aging.
She earned a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia and a Master of Social Work from Tulane University.
Ratcliff believes VOA’s greatest strength is the partnership between its national organization and local affiliates. By connecting people, ideas, and resources across the network, she is committed to helping national and local affiliates create greater impact together than either could accomplish alone.
