Operation Backpack® is one of the ways Volunteers of America helps children and families overcome barriers to success. Through school supplies, academic support and other essential services, VOA works to ensure that children experiencing hardship have the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
Every child deserves the chance to start the school year with confidence and the support needed to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
In 2025, Volunteers of America distributed 59,000 backpacks. This year, we’re working to reach even more children and families – and your support can help make that possible.
