Healthy communities are fueled by connection
In our 130th year, we are highlighting the service projects and volunteer events that bring communities together. Whether its connecting older adults, beautifying public areas, or hosting trainings, VOA is constantly enhancing the communities it serves.
Volunteerism isn’t just in our name — it’s in our DNA.
Crepe Myrtle Village Celebrates Easter
VOA Southeast
About Our Project
At Crepe Myrtle Village, a senior housing community in Brewton, AL, each of the 37 residents experienced the joy of the Easter season in a meaningful way. From a beautiful balloon arch to thoughtful Easter baskets for each resident, every detail was handled with care. The property manager, Sue Travis, didn’t just plan an event, she created an opportunity for residents to feel seen, valued, and loved.

About Our Project
For the fourth year, Spelman College Alumnae came to Hope Manor II and Hope Manor Village in Chicago to host an Easter Egg Hunt for the families who live at these properties.
