VOA’s Service Center at the Point
This historic $83 million initiative aims to construct a new affordable housing and service center as part of the Buzzard Point redevelopment, adjacent to Audi Field. The mixed use Service Center at the Point, co-located with VOA’s new Mission Innovation Center, will include 110 units of service-enriched affordable senior housing for those at or below 60 percent of AMI; an office building with approximately 40,000 SF of space for VOA Inc.’s new national headquarters; an underground parking; and ground level retail space. For the affordable housing, 69 out of 110 units will be reserved for tenants at 30 percent median income (extremely low income).
The Mission Innovation Center will include a home for the VOA national office and team, the VOA Service Center that supports our local affiliates across the country, a support center for our national affiliate, Volunteers of America National Services which provides affordable housing and senior healthcare expertise, the Shay Moral Injury Center, a Chapel, and importantly, an Innovation Center. As a national organization with 30 affiliates nationwide, the proximity to the U.S. Capitol and access to federal agencies that invest in communities across the country reinforces our commitment to our presence in the nation’s capital.
