The War Inside

Moral Injury is the injury to a person's moral conscience. The result of betraying your personal moral code can become profound internal suffering. Although moral injury is usually associated with the military and veterans, it also affects sexual assault survivors, abuse victims, doctors, nurses. law enforcement officers, incarcerated people Alzheimer's caregivers and veterinarians. Volunteers of America's "The War Inside" discusses what moral injury is and how it affects people.

"Moral Injury is just a much more extreme condition in which your conscience is at war with you."
