Texas Action Team Volunteers with Intellectually Disabled

Cory Sullivan of the Houston Astros and Texas Action Team captains from both Houston and Dallas volunteered to serve lunch, help with arts and crafts, play Wii and lead a video exercise class for intellectually disabled adults at the Volunteers of America Life Enrichment Center in northwest Houston on June 19, 2010.

Maine Action Team Honored by Red Sox Players

During an on-field ceremony recently, Red Sox players Mike Cameron, Bill Hall & Jason Varitek represented Major Leaguers when they honored 30 high school students serving as captains of the Maine Action Team, part of the national service-learning program in which Major League players and high school students are inspiring and training the next generation of volunteers.
