The Action Team was featured during the broadcast of the annual Major League Baseball Home Run Derby on ESPN. Curtis Granderson of the New York Yankees – a long-time Action Team participant –discussed his work with the program and the importance of young people getting involved in their community.

The PSA currently airs on radio stations across the United States and encourages young people all over the county to get involved in their local communities.
Curtis Granderson was named the Marvin Miller Man of the Year by his fellow Major Leaguers for his outstanding achievement on the field and extraordinary accomplishment off the field. During an interview with ESPN Radio announcing the honor, he discussed his active involvement as a member of the Action Team in Detroit and his involvement with Volunteers of America.
