Storybook Luncheon a Success
Members of the West Deptford High School Key Club and Action Team hosted a Storybook Luncheon in Camden for homeless children and neighborhood youth in the Morgan Village and Newton Creek communities. This free event included a book giveaway, lunch, arts & crafts, games and prizes, and visits from favorite Storybook Characters.
Action Team youth from West Deptford High School have hosted this event for five years to highlight the need for positive enrichment programs for at-risk children in the area and to encourage other young people to get involved in their community through volunteering. WDHS Key Club and Action Team members have volunteered countless hours after school and during their free periods to create games, crafts and activities to share with Camden City children.
