Community Service Projects



Examples of service projects where the Major Leaguers have volunteered with Action Team youth include:
  • Painting a room at a homeless shelter in Denver
  • Reading to, and giving out, new books to low-income children - many who have no books of their own - in Philadelphia
  • Participating in a Wii tournament in Minneapolis
  • Arts and crafts activities followed by a baseball game with developmentally disabled adults in the Dallas/Fort Worth area

Storybook Luncheon a Success

Members of the West Deptford High School Key Club and Action Team hosted a Storybook Luncheon in Camden for homeless children and neighborhood youth in the Morgan Village and Newton Creek communities. This free event included a book giveaway, lunch, arts & crafts, games and prizes, and visits from favorite Storybook Characters.
