Volunteers of America has long served populations with co-ocuring disorders of substance abuse and mental illness. High quality in patient drug and alcohol treatment services are provided for both adults and youth referred by the criminal justice system.

Featured Program: Massachusetts’ Rebound Program for Adolescents

Rebound's mission is to provide a safe treatment environment for adolescents who are experiencing problems in their lives due to alcohol and other drugs. The residents learn sober living skills, coping techniques that do not include the use of mood-altering chemicals, and tools for preventing relapse into active use.

Featured Story: Mike Williams

The second oldest of six kids, Mike Williams felt compelled to help his mother provide for his siblings. The easiest way he knew to make money was to sell drugs on the streets of his neighborhood. At age 16, Mike knew the choice was wrong; but he believed it was necessary for his family’s survival.
