Rehabilitaion/Transitional Care
For temporary care and rehabilitation services, Volunteers of America Bethesda Care Center can be your home away from home. We have a proven track record of getting our guests to a level health that will enable them to return to their home after receiving professional services from our customer oriented staff. We have dedicated a 21 bed wing for our patients that are in need of rehabilitaion as well as a separate dining area for our rehab patients to dine together if they choose to. Meals are able to be delivered to your room at your request.
A customary stay in transitional care ranges from one week to several months and is focused on providing a smooth progression from the hospital to Bethesda to home. A private rehab suite provides a trial period, which enables our guests to begin adjusting to a home environment before leaving.
Physical, occupational, speech and aquatic therapy are available and scheduled as prescribed when you wish to receive them. Recreational specialists provide stimulating leisure activities that you can choose to participate in whenever you wish.
