Featured Program: Paca House in Baltimore

Paca House in Baltimore, operated by Volunteers of America Chesapeake, is a 106 unit single-room occupancy that provides affordable, permanent housing with supportive services to men and women who are homeless or in jeopardy of becoming homeless.  Residents enter Paca House facing a combination of challenges, including physical impairments, mental illness, addictions and HIV/AIDS.  Some are able to stabilize their lives relatively quickly, and move into their own housing.  But for many others, Paca House is a safety net — a place where they can stay as long as they need to.
