Our Current Corporate Partners Include:
Comcast
Comcast is a media sponsor of Volunteers of America. Together we are able to reach hundreds of thousands of citizens, elected officials, community leaders, and non-profit organizations as we build on a national conversation about aging in America that Volunteers of America launched during a panel discussion in June 2009 at the National Press Club. The panel featured former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Senate majority leader Tom Daschle, and political strategist Donna Brazile. Comcast is building the momentum of the conversation with local news segments on CNN Headline News.
Hasbro
To help fulfill its mission to assist children in triumphing over their critical life obstacles and bring the joy of play into their lives, the Hasbro Children’s Fund provides Volunteers of America with toys and other resources to use in our programs for children and families who are experiencing homelessness.
The Home Depot Foundation
Volunteers of America, one of the largest nonprofit providers of affordable housing and services to veterans in the U.S., is partnering with The Home Depot Foundation to provide quality homes to veterans and their families nationwide. In April 2011, we embarked on a three-year, $1.8 million grant to repair and rehab properties where veterans and their families live. First-year projects include the rehabilitation of residential facilities in Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles and Miami, serving approximately 275 disabled and/or homeless veterans and their families at any given time. Each project includes numerous opportunities for Team Depot volunteers to get involved as well.
Juice Plus
NSA®, the maker of Juice Plus ®, has been a strong supporter of Volunteers of America since 1988, helping us deliver community programs that deal with today's most pressing social needs, from child daycare to homeless outreach to low income housing. NSA has organized and encouraged volunteer initiatives for their employees to provide direct volunteer services in local communities.
Scholastic
Volunteers of America has worked with Scholastic, the global children's book publisher, since 1999. Volunteers of America participates in the Scholastic Book Grants Program, a corporate in-kind giving program that provides high-quality reading materials to the nation's neediest young people. Volunteers of America local offices distribute hundreds of thousands of free Scholastic books in their programs and in their communities each year.
